Assaroe Lake, Ballyshannon, Donegal

Assaroe Lake is in fact a reservoir created when the River Erne was dammed at Ballyshannon to generate electricity. This shot was taken early on a bitter November day when there was still ice on the roads and the morning sun was just beginning to burn off the mist.
